Welcome to Joja Entertainment, a platform centering on Pakistani voices. We work with independent filmmakers to showcase identity, culture, and personalities to support expression of those coming from a Pakistani background. Joja's mission is to bring bring Pakistani cinema to the world stage as part of the discourse on South Asian cinema. Joja supports local and diasporic filmmakers to present a range of artistic representations.

Joja currently supports voices of emerging filmmakers by platforming works of Pakistani film student alumni. Joja aims to grow its selection of films to showcase the variety of films to demonstrate the range of stories and depth of talent among Pakistanis worldwide. Joja is passionate about Pakistani cinema and seeks to grow in ways that support the Pakistani film industry in more ways than one, seeking to engage in reportage and educational resources to teach those interested in Pakistani cinema.

Pakistani films deserve an accessible location to reach their audiences for more than entertainment’s sake. Founded by a member of the diaspora, Joja Entertainment is dedicated to understanding identity in ways that are cognizant of Pakistan’s history, present, and future while also seeking healing from the effects of postcolonial neoliberalism in ways that are specific to Pakistan’s history. All films licensed to Joja are under a non-exclusive licensing to encourage filmmaker to receive exposure in as many places as possible. Filmmakers retain full rights while granting permission to the platform to showcase their work.
